New Pup

I've been promising Melanie for 2 years now that we'd get another dog. I wanted to make sure Kate was sleeping through the night before I had to be up all night with a dog. When Molly was a puppy, I got zero sleep. Anyhow, this past weekend, I gave in and brought our new little yorkie home. Mel named her Nicki and she is VERY easy. She seems to fit right in with all of us and plays with Molly and chases the kids around. She never even whimpers at night. Maybe she even came potty trained!! Yeah right!

Speaking of that, its the hardest part of getting a dog. That is why I've waited 5 years to get Molly a friend. Especially in this new house, the last thing I want is the carpets smelling like dog pee. Ick! She is to stay in her crate and can only play around inside after she has gone bathroom outside. I've always been too whimpy to crate train but too many people have told me its the best way to train. I'll keep you posted. Not that anyone really cares....
