Swim team was officially over last Wednesday night. There was a big party at the pool to celebrate the Renegades and I signed up to swim in the parent swim meet. The kids would be the timers. I just thought it would be fun for the kids to cheer me on and the whole thing would be a big joke, everyone would be goofing around and not really caring. Boy, was I wrong! People were taking it seriously and there were no smiles. I remember exactly what was happening when this photo was taken. I was about to swim the 25 freestyle and realizing for the first time I had no idea what to do. I leaned over and turned to the kids around me and asked them when to breathe and to please hurry and give me tips before the whistle blew. Warren filmed this race but it somehow got deleted. Hmmmm.. Parent Swim Meet
