We ate lunch after church and she opened presents from us there. Her favorite was the American Girl doll of course. She's been obsessed with those since age 3 or 4. It makes me happy because Melanie has never been a toy lover. The only toy she's ever shown interest in is dolls.
This is Kate at the restaurant during dinner. Warren had to basically walk around with her outside the whole time. We did attempt the high chair at one point but she threw such a fit she banged her forehead on the table and got hurt. Oh, that baby.
All my kids always pick the Baskin Robbins ice cream cakes for birthdays. I have half in the freezer and I made it the whole night without touching it. Anyhow, happy birthday to Melanie!!! The fact that she's half way done with living at home is awfully depressing but on the bright side, she's an awesome daughter, sister, and friend so there is still hope for Kate. Melanie was even harder than her and cried and threw horrible tantrums and now she's a joy. That's the only reason I don't stress about D and K. There's always hope!!
